With alot of ido-ers with underwater cameras and depth finders. Is it better to store them in the house when not using them or just leave them pack away in the sled-garage.
I guess I have done it both ways but aways just wonder. I also have charge them inside and out in the garage

I have both a marcum 820 camera and a marcum lx-5, they come inside the house with me when I return home, you cant trust even the nicest neighborhoods today.

With how small and easy they are to bring in, Its not worth the risk for 3-800 dollars. It will also remind you more that you need to get out fishing if there allways staring you in the face.

It is better for the batteries to be stored at the temps inside the house.

I always bring them in to the house. Batteries charge better when they are warm. I like to get my flasher and camera thawed out, charged up and dried out for the next trip. My garage is not heated.

Why put them away? They work just as good in the boat as they do on the ice but I do keep it in the house winter or summer unless in use
