We all know that red glow jigs will/have worked well for icefishing.
Do you think one could get the same action with micro sized red glow tails and do you know of any on the market?

I know Nuggies in the standard sizes come in an assortment of glow colors, including red. The Micro Nuggie might be what you are looking for, but I don’t know for certain if they come in the same glow colors as their larger cousins.

CJS has glow tails, you can check them out here…I do use them, and I believe they make a difference!

The glow lime and the glow pink are two colors that have worked very well work me. Stained water or when light penetration starts to fade the glow colors seem to shine.

I used a marmooska jig with a nuggie red glow today and the fish would follow it like crazy but not bite so I dropped a jig with a waxie and it left. Set down the glow nuggie and back she came. Little Atom is the maker of some good hard water plastics.

I’m with Luke here, even as much as I like the nuggies. The ball on the nuggie can make things look like more than they want to chew on. I simple take one of the smaller sized finesse baits and snip off the body leaving just the tail and a single body segment. This looks almost identical to the noogie but a daintier package. These work great on their Diamond and Gill Pill jigs.
