This quiet usually means its either incredible or horrible… son and I may make it down to Green today… were starting out farther north.. and if the freezing rain gets here early we will probably not get down there until after Christmas… I have been at Goose or over on Petenwell for most of the early ice so I haven’t had time yet to fish either… report at Stoddard and Shady is that some are catching and some aren’t and the bite is quite spotty.

Last time we fished Onalaska was Sunday and did quite well once the sun rose the bluegills began to hit. Had to sort through them but we took home a nice mess for the frying pan. Also caught two nice crappies; one was 14″ and the other was 13″. Guys fishing tips ups did quite well on the largemouths and a few northerns as well. Fished with Gill Pills and Lil’ Cecil’s and the Gill Pill was the better bait this day with a waxie.
