Kudos to Otter Outdoors for dominating the industry with their line up of houses. Keeping smiles on my customers faces and keeping my gear in ONE PIECE……..Makes the Daze camp very happy….Along with my back!! I’ve always ran Otter houses, and currently have 3 in the fleet. My newest is the latest……..AND GREATEST!! Otter Lodge with the freakisly large fishing area (SUPER MOVE OTTER!! ), and incredibly comfortable seats. Let me tell ya…..From a guy that spends more time in the fishhouse than his home for about 4 months during the hardwater period………. these babies are comfortable!! Can’t tell you how many customers look around the house, and say man this is really nice!! I’m gonna need to get one of these!! Thanks Otter!! You make my job easier……..AND I LIKE THAT!!

Now……….BACK TO THE PICS FROM THIS WEEKEND!! Great fishing with you Mike, Andy and John!! Hey MIKE………BRUISER PIKE!! I can still see that BEAST illuminated under the ice, and the size of your eyes when you saw it!! MOMMY!! Can’t believe you outdid yourself only an hour later!! GOT PIKE??

Current breaklines seemed to be our dominate patterns, and Lightning spoons crushed the fish. If your not marking Ciscoes on your Marcum you likely will not find the biggest and baddest fish.

LXI from Marcum was ridiculously valuable this weekend. IF…….You happen upon an area with a bunch of numbers wrote in the snow it is NOT a fuzzy math equation.

    Fun weekend boys!!

If not this year it will be the next but I will be making the trip up to see you and you. Very impressive fish. You must really hate going to “work” every day.

    Hey Russ,

We’d love to fish with you!! Your right at times as I’m sitting back zoned into the Marcum I really have to pinch myself sometimes. Many people have told me to NEVER make your passion a job……I’m sure for many it has ruined a hobby, but for me the challenge of staying on top of trophy class fish with customers hasn’t gotten old yet. My wife would tell you I get all amped up the night before a guide trip day after day after day. I’m wierd that way. I’ve always been a fishing addict, and doubt that will ever change.

The Pike for me are bonus fish this time of year, and often mixed in with the large walleyes. They charge your presentations like an angry elephant. Quite often you’ll crack the whip on them, but if you can hook them in the corner of the mouth we’ll have to buckle you into the otter seat!! (Need to talk to Otter about Seat Harness). 2 winters ago we were fortunate enough to land a 21 lb pike through the ice on 4lb test mono. This past spring we landed 3 gators over 20lbs with the biggest weighing in at 23lbs in the blue corner. I hope to be able to have a customer pose with one of those 25lb plus fish I know roam this lake!!

Lastly for any of those looking for a last minute fishing trip I have December 29th-31st open for the taking at this point. Bring the egg nog, and I’ll bring you to the fish!!
