Heard the UPS pull up and I knew that my new ducer was in it. After a confirmation bark from my lab, my heart began to pump. My new ducer is ready for testing. Down to the utility sink I go! Wish me luck. If this doesn’t take care of it…anyone want to by an LX3?

It will not hurt anything to run out of the water. You can bench test a ducer off the floor. Just remember, sound moves faster through water than air, so your display depths will be off (Deeper) than if tested in water.

I knew this, but wasn’t about to take any chances. Bottom line…watch out finned friends. There’s a short fat Norwegian about to put the hurt on pool 8 tomorrow!

Funny side note. I called Marcum today to see what the delivery date was supposed to be. He told me today. I then asked him if this wasn’t the fix what he recommended I should do. He said “Sell it and go with Vexilar.” I’m assuming he was kidding. He did mention he was on pain meds. It was a rather strange phone call for 8AM.

That comment about going to vexilar…
Most likely he was serious because he knew that the transducer would fix the problem…
