I just bought a St. Croix Premier yesterday and it seems awfully nice. Only $24 at Gander. Got a crappie with it last night and it felt super. Nice tip.

Gander has 3 levels of ice reals. Got the Professional for $26. Cleaned out the grease and it was very easy to spin in the cold last night. No problem at all. Good drag.
    I highly recommend this outfit.

I have a pair of the the 32″ st. croix rods matched up with Gander Tournament spinning reels, great combos too!

I do as well paired with 6725 presidents, awesome set up. I do like the 28″ premiere but they are a little bit fragile, I usually break a few a year. My legend is a bit more durable but I’m not crazy about the length, I have a UL 24″, just feels stiff and short to me, just personal preference I guess.

Gander reels are/were Pflueger President models…. And they often times go on clearance…. But then again it might have changed.
