I have a 10″ lazer that binnes just before I break through the bottom of the ice?? It seems 2 cut like crazy so I think the blades are sharp. Is it possable 2 get the pitch changed so it is not so agresive?? I don’t use it vary much but if it cuts good I think I will use it more

My dad had the same problem with his 224 he brought it to strike master and they changed the pitch.

It sounds like a pitch problem. You could either bring the shaft into D-Rock or Strikemater in Big Lake and they could adjust the pitch for you or simply try lifting up on the auger when you’re at the bottom of the hole.

Have you ever tried to knock the ice off the auger with a hole scoop or hammer. Any little thing like that can knock these augers out of pitch and cause major drilling problems or binding. I would give SM a call to see if they can correct the problem, if not then a new drill may be your only choice.
