Is this a good auger for $200(in a classified) or should I get a new or better model? I dont do a lot of ice fishing but want a power auger now but dont know much about them.Do you need to get a set of spare blades like hand augers? Thanks
I know of 3 people that have Mag IIIs that are still running strong, so it should work very well for you. As for the price I’m not sure, but it seems a little high to me. I don’t usually carry an extra set because I live so close to Strikemaster, but its probably a good idea.
I agree the price seems a little high, but it should work well for you. I do carry an extra set of blades, but that’s because I never want to have to miss a day while I send in for my replacement. It usually takes about 4 days from the day I send mine in to the day they are on my Auger.
