Fished Pool 8 yesterday, ( Monday), with guide customers… first Gill trip of the year… after two days of scouting I pretty much had the safe, ice, active fish, hot lure thing locked in thanks to lot’s of info from my fishing neighbors. Chris a very experienced ice jigger caught 50+ fish in the 8 hours… he kept anice dinner of 7.5-8.5 inchers. Ed though less experienced did well also and also took home a meal of keepers… Northern tip -up bite was non-existant … a few small perch and a couple of crappie were also caught… smallest rat finkie with waxie scored again… although we did use some others through out the day .. Dark purple seemed best in low light and chartreusse best in higher light… but both caught throughout the day… we fished from about 2.5 – 4.5 foot depths .
