First 2 hours of the season produced this beautiful 28 inch Rainy Lake Walleye. Clown 1/8 oz. Lightning spoon tipped with 1/2 a minnow . Snapped off on presumably a large pike earlier, and missed another bruiser fish. Oooooooooooh how I’ve missed the hardwater!!

    Thanks Dave!!

Here on Rainy Lake we almost always have a few patterns producing large fish. Of course at times one seems to outproduce the other. Deep, Shallow and Current breakline bites are often taking place all at the same time during the first stages of our hardwater bite. This fish came on a breakline on the far reaches of an extended feeding shoal that happens to have some nice flow to it as well.

Oh and Dave……..Yes you should get up here!! She’s swimming again of course!!

Great fish sir! I thought by the title of your post you were commenting on Adrian P’s last running performance. I like the fish report better!
