    Hi all,
Is there really such a thing? I have tried various ideas over the years to prevent them from looking like a rats nest but nothing has worked. I need to find a solution this year before heading out.
What do the rest of you do to store them between fishing trips? How about keeping them in the portable? Just toss them in the bottom? (maybe that’s my problem…..)
    Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance,
    Donnie

I put my 3 Beaver Dam’s and 3 jig poles in a Gander Mtn. rod storage bag. Probably has a different name for it, but it’s black, and has 3 zippered compartments. It beats the 5 gal. bucket. Hope this might help? Greg

I took a Ready Rig rod bag and stuffed three four inc PVC tubes in it and then filled the pockets with all my other pike tackle, tapes, grabbers etc etc. . Keeps em tangle free. I also have a couple of single tubes with screw caps on them for transporting one or two in the portable.

I made a little deal a couple years ago that works pretty slick. It can carry 12 tip ups and has a storage area on the bottom. I have a picture of it somewhere just need to find it. When I find it I will post it.

I glued a small piece of foam from a pool float on the ned of all of my tip ups. I hook the hook into the foam for transport. I haven’t had a mess for a while now. Well maybe I have but not during transport

Sell the tip ups you have and buy some frabill 10″ pro-thermal tip ups. I will never buy another kind again. No tangled mess and they stack up and store nicely in a 5 gallon pale. Not to mention they do a good job of keeping the holes from freezing.

I went to the hardware store and picked up some strip velcro. I wrap that around my spool and Hook and it has worked well with me. I make a little ball of them and reuse them. You should still bring them in and rewind them after each usage for best results.
