Some of the most popular brands are Ice Castle, The Lodge Fish Houses, Salem Ice Houses, and King Crow. Just google all of them and see what options they have. My favorite is King Crow, but look at all of them and choose the one that suits you best! Hope this helps.

Check out Ice Castle fish houses at B&B Sports Give Butch a call and he will do his absolute best to get you what you want. His number is (320)234-7669. He is located in Hutchinson which is about 60 miles straight west of the twin cities. Tell him Joe from IDO sent you.

Don’t forget some of the custom shacks that guys are building. I found this one last year, everything about the way it was built makes sense, if I had an extra 20K just laying around it would have been in my driveway yesterday!

Check out Zach Shacks, will custom build and they float. They are a sponsor of Jason Mitchell.

I’ve had a 6.5′ x 12x King Crow now for 8 years and haven’t had one single issue with it yet. I’m not easy on my equipment either. I’ve seen many issues with ice castles and some others out there. Biggest problem with many of those houses are the axles and the way the wheels are mounted on the shacks. There’s plenty of company’s making them these days. Just make sure you research fully before spending all that coin on the one you want.

Based on my research, I wouldn’t make a major buying decision until you’ve checked out Custom Cottages. http://www.customcottagesinc.com Eric Bongard and his crew make a great product, I’ve seen him put a few together at his shop in Jordan. One of the main difference between Custom Cottages and the others is Eric uses aluminum framing, so the houses are super light, which comes in quite handy for movin around. You also mentioned you wanted to use it for hunting purposes, well Custom Cottages has a cool feature for that too. They have snap on camo fabric for the outside. They have another couple unique features like power leveling and the wheel hubs are inside the unit. Give Eric a call at 612-221-3214 or check out his website http://www.customcottagesinc.com and he’ll give you the rundown. You can tell him Erik from IDO sent ya, but that’ll probably make the price go up.
