Difference between Otter and Wild Outdoors?

I have been shopping for a new sled and came across Wild Outdoors packages at Fleet Farm in Winona. I know it is made by otter…just wondering what is the difference between them? The tubing system looks the same. The price seems quite a bit less for the Wild Outdoors package though. Anyone use the wild product yet?

Thanks for your reply in advance.

I know that the sled is not the same quality of the Otter II sled, and anything else I would say about the difference would be speculation. You might look at the weight of the two with the same options.

I also was looking for the difference to the Wilderness although it is discontenued it looked similar to the otter II

    Good luck

They Discontenued the Northern and Walleye line not the Wild Outdoors line. They use the same Square tubing and a different style sled also a 600 weight VS a 900 weight canvas. But $299 vs $599 I made the pull and am happy.

One more difference is the Wild series comes with a nice bench seat and the Otter II has nice padded swivel chairs. It just depends what you prefer. Don’t think for a second that the Wild Series is a subpar house. You really can’t go wrong with either one.

I have the Wild Outdoors 2 man house, it’s awesome, no issues at all, the bench seat rules..

These guys are right, the Wild packages are a slightly different sled, 600 denier cover and they weigh less. You really can’t go wrong.

I prefer the Otter Pro Series and I elected to build mine instead of purchase a package. I have always liked the bench seat, and the ease of loading/unloading when the seat flips out of the way. It’s great for kids too. However, the comfort of the new Otter individual seats is desireable!

I added the Otter rod box/utility box to store items behind the bench seat. This design fits well together to hold all the stuff I pack!

the tubing is the sams as the old otter NOT the same as the new otter and the tubing locks are different. the tub is defferent and the canvas is lighter. seating is different. All in all probly a good buy and surely better than a lot of other houses that try to compete. -Mark

MArk’s got it right. Just about everything is different between these two houses with the Otter Pro using thicker or more durable materials in the construction.

If you fish hard, tow long miles, carry lots of gear and generally “work” your house hard…. the Otter Pro is the way to go.
