I don’t know about you guys, but I need to make a list come first ice just to make sure I’m not taking anything for granted. Please add to it, but here goes!!!

    -rods/reels checked – organized by presentation/species
    -fresh line
-tackle organized – each species in a rose creek box
    -house intact
    -propane filled, heater works
    -electronics work and are charged
    -cleats and ice-spikes packed
    -headlamp packed
    -auger has new sharp blades
-auger has new gas, been started
    -sno-suit packed
    -boots/gloves/hat packed
    -ATV ready
-Snowmobile almost ready – need hitch receiver
-Trailer almost ready – bearings packed last year with light use (Am I ok?)

What do I need? What’s left to do?

What else do you need? You need me. You are much more organized than myself.

    Must list is like this.

One auger. Hope it still runs after last year and the blades are sharp.

Need to find the flasher and get the battery charged. Thats if I can find the charger and hope the battery is still good.

Now where in the garage did I put my 2 rods on from last year? Hope they are still in good shape. Hope my small tackle tray is with them.

Next I double check the 10 day forcast to make sure I cant get the boat back out one last time. Yep. ice fishing it is.

Throw this stuff in a 5 gallon pail. This means something else will need to get dumped out of the pail to be cleaned up later.

Grab the Snosuit and boots and we are ready to go.

Maybe Ill go back and check the forecast for Redwing. Its always a little warmer down there.

Here’s a couple more things I have along:

    – Rope with a throwable cushion
    – Life jacket
    – Extra set of clothes in case we have to use the above items
    – Spud bar or ice chisel
    – Charged cell phone
    – buddy (someone that’s willing to walk in front of you)
    – Be sure to start all motors a week or so before your trip. It would bite if your wheeler or sled didn’t start when you got to your destination.

I guess I tend to be a little more on the cautious side of things.

Oh! I get it! Here I thought everyone I go fishing with was just being respectful.

Did not see ice pics and some rope depending on how early of ice you are venturing out on.

A dozen roses for your bride for that pass to go on an extended fishing trip…

Thanks for reminding me about my propane tank, BTW. Mine is empty!
