Wild Outdoors 2 vs Otter Cabin

I have a older Otter cabin (green) right now and have always wanted a bench seat for it. Right now I use a hunting folding chair. But at $135.00 for the bench seat. I started looking around and found a Wild Outdoors Ice house that is made by otter and comes with the bench and cover for $299 on sale. I could sell my cabin for $250-$300 and get a new house for free with a bench seat. Plus the house is 4 inch taller and 9 inches longer, more room to fish. What do you think? The new camo cabin is $599 twice the price of the Wild model. I know the otter is heavyer 900 vs 600 weight. but the sleds and poles are close to the same.

there is no comparison of the two. Otter is the king, they started selling the Wild as a way to appeal the the… less serious. Im my opinion, you have the best, unless its trashed buy the bench if you want it that bad. unless you have the plastic seat bases they used to make, rather than theose lousey aluminum ones… Id by happy to buy one. keep the otter
I started with the cabin, it does suck for 2. you can find the lodge in mint cond. on CL for 300-350. it happens, just keep the feelers out.

99% of the time I fish out of it by myself. It is about the biggest I can go and still load it by myself in the back of the truck.

If you can swing it, the new otters are awesome. Otherwise I would buy this years wild version over the green otter as the poles actually slide.

One thing about the Wild with the bench seat we found out is if you set on the end where the front of the sled is you can tip the whole thing over because of the sweep of the sled under the nose. Problem would be if two guys were on the seat and the one away from the nose got up the other guy better be ready.

That can happen with any Otter, you have to mount the seat all the way over to the left as you sit to get away from that. Got that figered out already.
