I’m looking to purchase a couple Thorne Bro rods but not sure which way to go… I want them all!!! I definitely want a walleye rod, so I was thinking about getting the walleye sweetheart?? Then the hard part is the Panfish rod for the most Finicky Panfish…. I like to fish out of my port but also like to hole jump if that helps at all?? Looks like I’ll be getting a couple Tica reels to go on them…. I better quit reading posts on here…Ice Fishing is getting EXPENSIVE!!! Thanks

Every ice fisherman is different. I would suggest going to the new Thorne Bros store or stopping by the ice show the first weekend of decemeber to get a hands on try of all the rods they have to offer. Getting those rods in your hand you will know almost instantly if it is the right rod for you….

I really like my perch sweetheart plus for walleye fishing and of course perch fishing. The rod has plenty of backbone to fight a 10 lb eelpout (haven’t caught a 10 lb. walleye with it yet). The eyes are smaller, so this rod is for in the shack.

    The perch sweetheart for me.

A great walleye rod for 1/8 oz spoons.

I also like the medium heavy sweetheart for jigging raps and bigger spoons.

This true, but when compared to summer fishing ice fishing is a bargin.
    Boat $56k
    locator $2.3k
    bow locator $600
    rod reel combo $350*10
Of course you can making fishing on the ice quite spendy as well.

I have a Perch and a Walleye Sweetheart rod, and I couldn’t be happier, but I would agree that you should go and check them out for your personal preference

Like other people said, stop in and consider the options while they are in your hands. Their new store opens on monday. I have a power noodle with the recoil guides and love it. I use it for aboot 85% of my panfishing. Also remember they can custom make you any of their rods to your specifications. When i was in there the other day Mike was wrapping up a 19″ power noodle for someone.
