    does anyone have experience with or opinions about brands or styles of electric ice augers

    Buddy has an Icegator with a Nils bit, it’s a drilling machine.

    I have a Strikemaster 8″ and love it. It’s the only auger I have owned but it has never failed me. Great for inside the ice castle. Obviously slower than than gas but works well without the smoke inside.
