Go to a sporting goods store that sells ski equipment and get a good pair of ski pants. They are insulated with plenty of pockets and have elastic on the inside liner that cover your boots and keep the snow out. I got mine for around $50 at Joe’s Sporting goods. They were 50% off and work great. I dont like bibs as I feel they limit my movement and when trudging through snow My pants inevitably get wet anyway. Ski pant will typically have zip down vents on the inside of each leg for those warmer days and when walking. Plus at less than half the cost for the same performance, how can you go wrong

Fishthumper-
Just go here: Crosslakesales.com- then fishing-then ice fishing clothing-
You can get an entire snosuit for 300 right now-
Snosuit is the best! And at that price you can’t afford not to buy it-
Let me know if you have any other questions!
Luke. Thanks for the Info. That is a great deal.
I really don’t want a full suit. I wish they had a deal on just the bibs. They do have some great deals on the Artic Armor as well. Thorne’s told me that Snosuit are no longer making the full suits. If anyone is looking for a full suit and wants a great deal I’d hurry and order you one.
They have just the bibs for $119.
October 27, 2009 at 10:12 pm #812029I fish on my knees whenever I’m not in my trap. I use to wear carharts but my knees where always wet and they would hurt too because of no padding. Carhartts do work great when in a shelter though.

Unfortunately the bibs they are selling are all XXL size…so buyer beware.

That’s the only size remaining. Earlier in the fall they had a wide selection and those that jumped on this weeks and even months ago got a killer deal.
November 7, 2009 at 7:46 pm #814538I fought this same battle last year and ended up buying a pair of carharts for 80 bucks. They have been great up here in ND. And i had enough money left over to buy more ice stuff.

I think this time of year you’re going to run into full retail pricing just about everywhere you go. You might give Dean at Everts Resort a call and see if he has only hold over stock from last season or some other option that might allow you to save a few bucks. The other place to call would be Thorne Bros up in the north metro. I would bet they sold more Snosuits than just about anyone last year.

rangerformePosts: 55December 12, 2009 at 11:59 pm #822893I just ordered the jacket and bib (extra large) for $299, so hopefully it is what they say it is. The arctic series.
December 14, 2009 at 6:40 pm #823282Well I picked up the Snosuit bibs for $200 at the ice show and tried them out yesterday…WOW! great investment & couldn’t be happier with them. Best bibs I’ve ever had and being a snowmobiler and ice fisherman thats saying something!
