de soto ice fishing

    anyone know agood spot by de soto for panfish.I live in Baraboo and been there a couple times but not much luck.also where can i download a map of the area thanks don [email protected]

    DeSoto has one of the best ice fishing bays around. It is called Desoto Bay. It is just north of the town on 35. I would suggest going in the back way from Black Hawk Park. The other option is Mississippi River Sports. They charge for parking and driving through their property. Look for the hump in the middle of the bay that is about 8 feet of water with 10 or 12 around it. I have had 30 white bass days here before. Some good Pike fishing too.

    If it ws me I would opt for Goose Island. 10-25 guys a day at GI I only saw 1 group of three sitting together thurs on Desoto Bay.
