    ……. with temps hovering just about 9-10 degrees above freezing tonight I had to plug in the flasher when I got home, in the morning I will be dragging out the bucket of rods and the ice tackle box and start organizing. I am getting pretty antsy to get the auger fueled up for the winter

    I’m ready, well I still need to take the tubes from my beaver dams out of the freezer and put them on the boards.

    Marcum battery charged… check
    spare batteries charged… check
    pflugers spooled with new line… check, all but 1, no biggie I have 3 ready
    propane tank full… check, 1/2 full
    blades sharp on auger… check
    jig boxes organized… check, but I’ve been doin some reading this week and want to make some changes

    Pretty much everything is ready just a few odds and ends to clean up, like putting the winter front on my truck. But I could be loaded and ready in an hour or less.

    I just checked the Corps site for Hillsdale Lake and I need to settle down a little. Water temperature is still 63

    New wheelhouse is sitting in the driveway……driveable ice can’t come soon enough for me.

    Like a Buck waiting for the rut I long for the first sunrise on the ice, jerkin’ lips on perch with buddy Mike and seeing how many bull gills will inhale the Gill Pills this season.
    Won’t be long people, hang in there and here’s to hopefully some awesome 2009-2010 hard water adventures

    We’re shooting a balmy 19 degrees this morning here in borderland. YIKES!! IT WON’T BE LONG!! Been quite a few years since we’ve Ice Fished on Thanksgiving!! NICE GOOD OLE DAYS!! IS THAT ALL YOU GOT!!

    we could have 1-2 inches of that white stuff on the ground by this time tomorrow AM Yuck! Just registered for the Mobridge Chamber ice tourney, they are just about filled up, looks to be a good time.

    Water temps are dropping like a rock in my area anyways. I had 69f about 3 weeks ago now it is in the 40’s.
