Where did you stay, what’s a good place to stay in the area?

Is it just a crappie bite, or do you also catch perch, walleyes, other species?

Is the fishing any good towards the end of March, or what time of year is best?

Any info would be appreciated. Thank guys!

I’ve been up there the last few years except this year.

We stopped at the West Wind Resort in Waskish for lunch and drinks on the way up to Lake of the Woods last week. We talked to many people who were doing terrible this year!

We did real well in the past on glow red lures.

We also got many nice walleyes (must be released) and big northerns always on jig sticks and crappie minnow NEVER on a tip-up.

    Places to stay:

Rogers Campground, never stayed?, Hillmans , Westwind Kelly Petrowski , Hudecs (Dump) The nicest shacks we stayed in were Kelly’s and Westwind.

This year there is a new place called Aggasiz something.

    Good Luck

    Ferny.

    WURST,
WAS UP THERE LAST YEAR IN MID MARCH AND WE CAUGHT A LOT OF NICE CRAPPIES(1.5-2LB). RED GLOW JIGS OUT FISHED EVERYTHING ELSE BY FAR ON CRAPPIES AND ON WALLEYES. ACTION WAS BETWEEN 5PM TO MORNING HOURS NEXT DAY.
