Does any one know if MarCum is coming out with any thing new this year? Their web site has not been up dated since 07 as fare as I could tell.

Following the recent sale to Versa I’ve not heard of any plans to release anything major for this winter.

You know what I think would be neat. If some one took the side imaging technology from humming bird and made a ice unite out of it. 360 pic when you are ice fishing. Would really save on drilling holes.

I’m really not sure how well side imaging would work without any movement. I think you would tend to get real distorted images that would be very hard to interpret but maybe that could be overcome to some degree with processing of the returned signals. But I know what you mean. Being able to look out to the sides would be a huge advancement.

If the transducer spun and the screen looked like what you see in the war movies. The round screen with the bar that spins around. The screen would refresh it self in a circular fashion.

I agree with rotating the si transducer at a certain speed, and using either left or right view. Kind of like a airport spotlight slowly sweeping in a circle. Only need to solve for which direction the signal is facing and a really twisted up cord…

The future of SI for ice fishing. Just waiting on humminbird to introduce a radar screen and the programming to make it work good.
    SI In 360
The down scan feature might work Im sure no ones tested it on the ice yet.
