Bought a wheel shack about a month ago. It has winches that are like what you see on most boats to crank up the wheels. After breaking my arm and 20,000 in surgery and doctors visits need to do somthing different. Looking at changing out winches with a type the incorporates a friction pad to stop freewheeling. Looking for opinion if this will work or better idea besides don’t let go of crank

Bring a friend Shouldn’t be too hard to find one with a nice wheel house

Other than that I got nothing

    Helpful aren’t I?

The Gilmore-Kramer Company has some great ones for lifting and lowering, but they will run you around $300 each cheaper than the broken arm
we had then on some equipment at my old job, and even with the harsh working conditions and they worked flawlessly

Maybe Incorporate electric winches one on each side. Requires battery power but if ur in a wheel shack your possibly driving some type of vehicle to and from. A cheaper route maybe 1 electric winch with pulley setups to operate both sides evenly. Anythings possible, could use the power adapter from a snow plow to run off your tow vehicle. Bad side electricity and cold dont mix
