Hey everyone, Was in the Rice Lake Wi area this weekend and if you are not on the ice you are missing out. The action is hot so get out and enjoy it. The walleyes were shallow, really shallow. A pink gamagotzu with a small pinch or a gold pimple along with some precision jigging was the ticket for the eyes. It took me 1 1/2 hours to fill out on eyes, then off to a new body of water for the night slabs and panfish. These fish went wild from 3:30 to 5 hitting mostly waxies in 3to5 ft of water. They were hitting really lite, most people said they couldn’t feel hits so I would strongly suggest to go to hooked on fishing and set yourself up with some HT crappie sticks, these are a must for those shallow water light biters. The following day produced 12 in crappies and 11 1/2 perch but the small pike moved in and the fish were moving out. I released all my fish on Saturday and want to remind people when you are really having fun, remember to practice CPR. Tight lines#5
