Man, now I see what all the hype is about with these. I bought it this morning with X-mas money, assembled it, and was fishing by noon!! They pull excellent by hand across snow and ice. More room than I have ever seen inside. Set-up is so quick and easy. And they look awesome on the ice!! The only thing I need now are some seats, which will have to wait till the cash builds up again. And to think I was going to buy an Eskimo. Good thing Farm and Fleet sold out of them. I am glad I just spent a little more money and got the Otter Lodge. I wish I could have got purple, but they were sold out and had to go with green .

Way to go AmWatson! I just got my Mag Lodge a week ago. Have had it out the last 3 days in a row. The folks at Otter sure put a quality portable shack together. I also didn’t purchase the seats. Have been using those folding camp chairs. Not ideal, but work just fine. I was fortunate enough to get mine in purple. Enjoy your shack.

you can spend alot of money and buy the seats from otter, or for alot cheeper and customize to your own liking. you can add nice seats and table for less than $50. all you need is some 3/4″ conduit, 11/2″ flat stock, plywood, two barn door hinges, foam and some thin indoor/outdoor carpet. almost forgot the 1″ conduit hangers to attach the seat to the conduit. the oversized hangers are so the seat will slide on the conduit. we have customized 4 of them and have worked out most of the kinks. let me know if you want more info. it’s really easy, and you can do it in couple of evenings.

Thanks for all the replies! I am still trying to figure out just how much stuff you can get in an Otter, LOL. The thing is full of poles, hand auger, power auger, vex, lunch box, 5 gal. pail, extra clothes, jig box, heater, and of course me, and still room for more.
Coot-Want to trade the fabric? Pretty, pretty please… The green is still better than any other shanty I have owned.
Puddlepounder-I am interested in your set-up for seats and a table. Sounds interesting. I am kinda handy with tools, as long as they don’t have too much power, lol.
