Fished Pool 10 in the Bagley area today. There was about an inch of ice in the bay we were fishing. We ended up with about 20 bluegills that we kept and threw alot more back. Most fish came off a Glow-Bug tipped with a waxworm. The fish seemed to want bait as plastics (shrimpos, ratsos) were very slow for me. Fished awhile for crappies without any luck also.
Also, all fishing was done out of a 12 foot johnboat spudded around on the ice. I don’t think the ice is thick enough to stand on yet, at least in this backwater. Even while standing in the boat we still had alot of water surround us while we were fishing.
