If these guys weren’t in their Fish Traps they could have been casting at the same time! Kamlooping on lake Superior Monday just north of Duluth.

It is crazy what some people will do just for a fish. That doesn’t look good!

Was that the French River? Brings back memories, probably my favorite ice fishing. It may look scary but I never saw anyone go in! Ice is pretty thick.

yeah that looks like the french. alot of poeple want to get that spot right in front of the river, as close to open water as possible. looks like theyre in 10 feet there, sometimes we fish in a foot or less right in front of the river. ice hasnt been all that thick this year, i was out the last week and we had about 6 to 8 inches. Some days you can have a foot of ice then the next day there is only 2 inches.

I think it was the French. There was a sign at the parking lot that said “Spawning area fishing closed from lake to bridge” I talked to one of the guys heading out and he said there is 2″ to 8″ depending where you step Scary!

I forgot to add that’s open water a couple hundred yards beyond them also!
