Ever have one of those moments where you wonder just how dumb a person can be??? I did last Friday.

I’m ice fishing in some deep snow along a tree line. Nothing. So I decided to throw my gear on the wheeler and move again. Grab the LX5, rod and auger head to the wheeler. Load up everything(so I think), start the wheeler and take off.

Well sort, hear a loud noise as wheeler obviously jumped something. Figuring I hit something under the snow, I get off. Nope. I decided to run over my Strikemaster laying in front of the wheeler out of sight.

The power head is wedged under the front axle pretty good. I tried digging out the snow, but to no avail. Since I’m by myself at this point, I have to lift the front end of my 600cc wheeler off my auger. How my fat old managed to lift the wheeler and pull out the auger is beyond me. I imagine my being probably helped some.

So, from this point going forward, everytime you jiffy or nils guys want to argue about who’s auger is tougher, I WIN! Oh and you guys who break those plastic handles, please. What are you doing to the augers?? Don’t blame craftsmanship!!

Hopefully you didn’t bend or tweak the shaft of the auger…
Did you trying drilling with it after the accident?

Sounds like you got a tough strikemsater just like mine!

had the same happen to us last year Except our strikemaster did not fair to well, broken handles, carb, compression lever, etc. Strikemaster rules, although the auger took a beating because of our own doing, Strikemaster covered all repairs free of charge Hows that for customer service Of course we looked like tards carrying the pieces in they probably felt bad for us

I drilled a ton of holes after that and didn’t notice anything different than before. My pride was the only thing hurt in the incident I believe.

Jiffy and nils auger owners aren’t dumb enough to run over their augers. sounds like a case of neglect to me

I guess self-deprecating humor is lost on some.
