    Hi,
Thought I’d post an update on Prior crappies. The last couple nights I’ve been setting up in a small bay in 14fow. Nothing fast and furious but some decent fish to be had. All fish were taken on glow Demon jigs with a full minnow 5-7 feet off the bottom. Since I work dogwatch, I usually can’t sleep on my days off, so I’ve been getting set up around 1am and staying til daylight. Nothing like fresh crappies for lunch, heading back tonite. Here’s a pic of what I’ve been keeping, bad pic but you get the idea. 10 inchers.

Actually I’ve done quite well on gills this year, however without a camera I wouldn’t be saying that. Unreal how finicky these gills are this year, most of the time you’d never even know they inhaled my gill pill if you didn’t see it. There are LOTS of little ones, but always some decent 8-9 inchers mixed in, even got a couple bulls pushing 10 inches. Gotta work for em, but they’re there!

Hey D! How are you feeling? You know you’re always welcome to tag along, but you were in school! Fishing should only get better from here on out, plenty of time.

Congrats Brian! Any time a guy can pull 10 inch crappies out of a metro lake is an accomplishment!
