Watch for an upcoming post from Joe Moenck about his gear being stolen today. Portable house, auger, rods, reels, heater, etc.
If anybody tries to sell you some ice gear, get a discription, etc.
It happened on the dike road between Wabasha and Nelson.

    Thanks WKW,

Today I had my portable and gear stolen out of the back of by truck in beef slough between Wabasha and Nelson. My shack and gear was taken out of my 02 Black and Silver Chevy Silverado with a black topper. I was parked right next to the road as soon as you pull into beef slough parking lot. With all the snow we had today, I decided to hit a spot quick and leave my shack in the truck and fish off my bucket. If anyone happened to see somebody removing a shack from a black truck with a topper into another vehicle on the dike road this morning between 8:30 and 12:30 would you please give me a call (651) 253-1017 or send me a P.M. The shack was a blue 2 man Guide pull over with the plastic seats, I had 4 spinning reel combos, tackle, MR. Buddy Heater. Luckily the lazy monkeybutts left my 6″Lazer Mag hand auger, I guess they were to lazy to do a good job stealing. I will be offering a cash reward for safe return of my equipment. I would also like to say to the people who stole my gear, I hope you have a fun time with it because I had alot of memories and good times with that thing. I hope you have a good time you low life loosers, I hope you get caught stealing more gear and end up in jail being somebodys [censored]!

Girlfriend is not a censored word. You don’t have to be polite. Please don’t blame this on the economy. There are just bad people out there and they ain’t ice fishing they are driving around stealing. Good luck getting your stuff back we all realize the cost of replacement. If I can be lucky enough to get part or all back there is no reward.

Sorry to hear this…it’s really pathetic that anyone would do that. I drove down the dike road at 9:30 this morning. Didn’t see anything suspiscious happening though.

That really sucks man. I always get [censored] for wanting to lock up all my stuff, and people always say ” oh… nobody’s gonna steal that”, but this proves it happens. I would check out craigslist and see if your stuff pops up, somebody might try to sell it all together or something to try to get some quick money for it all. Ill keep on the look out in winona for you.

Thanks guys, it was one of those deals when I was going to hit a spot for an hour then move on. If the weather got cold or windy I was going to go back and get my shack, we were moving some pretty nice fish and I kind of got distracted. When I opened my topper to put by buckets in my jaw just dropped. I would like to thank everyone for keeping an eye out for me, it means more than you can imagine. I fish alot on the ice, I know I will see my old shack on the ice some day. The person sitting in it is going to tell me who he bought it from or he aint going home with it!

    Joe,

If you need a portable to finish out the season, let me know. I have a one man otter sitting here you can use. Not doing much today except watching James and Brad whack eyes on the TV. I can run it down to Everts. Let me know.
