Ok so I am ordering more tackle, gill pills and lighting spoons are on my mind. What size is a good for all around hole hopping with attempting to catch sunnies and crappies. For that matter what are the best colors.

10’s are my favorites, but I am big fan in bigger sizes-
My favorite colors this year are black/white, frog, clown, and firetiger…

In the lightning spoons (which is by far my favorite all around spoon)- For crappies I would recommend the smallest size which is 1/8 ounce, my all time favorite color in that spoon is the silver/blue foil. I have caught all species that swim in the ice on that exact spoon- I also like the black/silver foil, and clown.

Thanks getting ready to head to Rainy Lake to chase some eyes and hopfully some of those big slab crappies that Rainydaze has posted in the past and need a little more variety. Looking forward to using them with Rainydaze Mar 7-9.

10 or 12 s. Like stated, clown, f-tiger, frog. On sunny days I have alot of confidence in gold. Wedgies have been good company attached to the pills this year too

    Firetiger & Clown # 12 or # 14 for lite biting fish.
Gold # 12 when water clarity decreases.

This of course assuming the Cecils aren’t working

I prefer 12 but use 10 for aggressive fish and 14 for slow bitters. My best producing is by for the glow red. I do also carry firetiger, clown and white.
