Lake Pepin Ice?

    I know of a few people that still had shacks out there as of yesterday? Anyone been down there lately to see what the ice conditions have done as of late? I realize there was alot of ice in some areas but with all the tributaries up and the high winds I would think things are getting a little sketchy.

    Went out of Maiden Rock yesterday, still alot of water on the ice but it was goin down. Had 20″ of good blue ice yet where i was but heard reports of 6″ further up the lake. No need to go up that far anyway.Landing is getting a little sloppy but maybe with some cooler nightime temps it will firm back up.

    Looked like more than half of the shacks at Maiden Rock were pulled in the last 2 days, saw a guy driving across in a full size pickup this morning? Could see lots of cracks and heaves from Hwy 35.

    Have not been out there yet…planning on going Wednesday…Seen a few people walking out there yesterday outside frontanac but no cars, a few atv’s but thats all
