Tip ups around LaX?

    Looking to get a couple northerns for pickling. Just wondering if anyone is having any luck around LaX to Tremp. on tipups. Haven’t had the tip ups out yet this year, just seeing how the bite is. Thanks

    I just watched a guy buy $50 worth of shiners at Bob’s Bait. They must be biting somewhere!

    I heard that several nice northerns were taken at the Brice Prairie Fishing Derby yesterday (2/7/09). 12lb and some 10 lbs won the top prizes.

    Never fished LaX. How is the ice handling the warm weather? It is supposed to rain tomorrow and I am thinking about coming up Tues. Have to travel alittle so what are the guesses on ice conditions. Thanks.

    Northerns have been ok this season. I have been catching a few of them on tip ups. My biggest was 31″ so far and few in the 26-28″ range. Using medium shiners. Nice out on the ice so far was on lake onalaska all day didnt find a spot with less than 20″ ice. Bite was kinda slow today i thought.
