Hi guys, I own a scout and cannot get this thing to work now. Its just about brand new but cannot get power. I am worried that maybe I tried to charge it last year without disconnecting the power cord. Looked at the fuses and they look to be fine but have not tried to replace them yet. Where do you find those fuses anyways??? Anyhow just looking for some suggestions. The unit show a full charge but when I hit the power button it lights the red light up but then if fades away and will not give me any power.

Can’t be the fuse…but it does sound like a dead battery.

Sounds Like a junk battery, I had the same thing happen this winter on my Marcum, showed a full charge but would not run my flasher. After a short panic/WTF session I hooked it up to a different battery and all was solved.

Brian and Bob, thanks for the quick response!!! I olny have about 40 hrs on this thing and could not believe it would be the battery but you guys hit it on the nose. Just dropped another one of my batteries in and were back in business
Olny had 4-5 charges in the stinking battery and its already shot what a pile of junk!!

Joe, sounds like the battery was defective and should be covered under warranty. I can’t recall any battery going out that quick.

Time for a email to customer service.

I keep my winter batteries on my work bench. I give em a charge every month or so. batteries can lose power after sitting around for to long. vice versa for summer batteries.
