I purchased a new Mako recently and love it so far. A friend has had what is now the Stingray for probably 15 years and it is still running strong, that is why I didn’t hesitate to buy one.

I really like the covered exhaust and covered throttle cable among other features, but it is not the lightest auger out there either.

The Z71 will really tear some ice!!!! Alot of power to say the least. Not the smoothest cutting auger I have used. Still prefer my lazer mag express.

If you buy new, stay with a 2hp no matter the manufacture.

I’m a Strikemaster fan along with many here at IDO. However, I also believe Jiffy, Eskimo and Nils make good products. I just happen to fall in love with the lazer the first year they came out. Ask Suzuki how he likes his Jiffy. Ask DTRO how he likes his Nils. Big G about his Eskimo. You’ll get the same answer from all of us. None right or wrong, just opinions. Any power auger is better than a hand crank!!!

definitely worth the money I’vehad mine for 16 years now and still runs strong and cuts great. They also have great customer service. I broke the filler neck when it fell off the 4 wheeler and i had a new tank in 2 days.
