I went out to check the ice conditions and it seemed okay, but the ice is getting very thin. Fished on about 3.5-4″ of ice today but it was better than being open like it was last week. Here is a picture of today’s catch. Most of the gills were between 7-8.5″ and very aggressive.

Nice bunch of fish! Care to share what you had on the business end?

I am not sure what they are but I do believe they are Lindy Techni-Glo, with a waxie and berkley gulp maggot. I was dead sticking between 2 holes. One hole would be real slow and the other would be red hot and than it would switch. They were caught in about 10 FOW. Also I was using a Lowrance X67c. I just got it for Christmas and didn’t realize how many more fish a person can catch. It started out very slow but i was seeing a few suspended fish about 2 ft of the bottom, raised up to meet them and the fight was on. This was the first time they have been aggressive this year.

The X67C is a nice little unit. Lotta guys don’t care for them because they don’t play with others (interference). Suits me okay because I don’t play well with others either
Mine just celebrated it’s 3rd birthday and really took my fishing game to the next level.
