It’s an RCA connection on the back of the monitor Hwa.

Is there a DVR that works with the Marcum like the aqua view unit??

Not that I’m aware of…but I haven’t check either. I’ve been using a digital camcorder, then uploading to the computer for editing.

I’ll be waiting for your update, impatiently, lol.

I was thinking the same thing about the DVR. You can buy a cheap one for around $100, I haven’t looked at them closely yet, but you’d think they’d have the standard yellow RCA video in plug. If not, I think you can buy adapters. My plan is to hook up the 825c to a DVR connected to the 12V system using a 110V converter.

You bet, the trick is certainly connecting it to a DVR. The questions are:

    -Which DVR?
    -Portability/Size?
    -Reliability under ice fishing conditions?

We did some live web-streaming in the release tent at the Brainerd Jaycees event, using an 825c, and it looks great. However, we’re trying just to get it to files, rather than webcast the stuff. IMO, the video is a bit slow/grainy in this format. The bottom two examples on this website are what we did up there:

I’m continuing to research this topic. New devices seem to be popping up daily. In the meantime, here’s a post James made that applies:

There’s a number of ways to do this and the applicable solutions often come down to what you want to do with the video. For me I want an uncompressed DV signal so can use the footage in the IDO TV shows. If all you want to do is capture the footage for sharing as online videos or other compressed formats… there’s a number of devices that will convert the incoming analog signal, convert it to a dv signal and output a compressed file in an H-264 or MPEG format. Look for those in your electronics departments at you local best buys, circuit cities, etc. Tell the techie what you’re trying to accomplish and they should be able to set you up for not very much money.
