Well I purchased a new one this year and it has worked great for what I use it for and thats drilling my holes in my permanent ice house. No more smoke and smell in there for me.As far as holes you can get with a full charge with the amount of ice we have now(about 16″} I would say 17 to 22 holes would be max,but they do come with a car charger and cables that hook directly to your car battery and then you can drill all day.

They are very nice. I would definetly get the strike master over the jiffy. I was very impressed with the power that they have, even when reopening a hole.

I love mine! Like you said, for a guy who is not punching a 100 holes a day, it’s perfect. I’m on season number 3 and should probably switch out the battery. Still, a dozen holes no problem.

I’ve had mine for two years now and the only thing I’ve noticed is when you get down to the last ice it wants to hang up a bit. It’s not a problem you just back off and go again, sometimes it’s been hard to break through My buddy has a power strikemaster and his goes right through, more power I guess. The other day it ran out of power after about 12 holes but we were about done anyway. I put it on the charger until I get the green light and then I take it off. Anybody know if it’s ok to leave it on after it’s been charged? I heard you should not over charge.
