Does anyone have a update on the ice conditions on Grindstone?

I heard that the ice is too thin to drive.

Are you talking Grindstone in WI??? If you are, I would think that you would be in fair shape. I don’t know that Hayward has gotten anymore snow than us over here, but maybe trying to get a hold of Pastika’s would get you a decent report on that lake.

Across the road on Lac Courte Oreilles, We had my truck out with several others doing the same on Musky Bay on December 28th.. I know that doesn’t mean anything, but if you need to drive out at least you have that option not far away. There were a lot of nice crappies coming through, we just missed the bite by a couple days..a big front came through bringing cold temps and high pressure- they got tight lipped.

4″ of snow, on top of 4″ of crap ice, on top of 6″ of good ice. No driving yet

Thanks for the update. I’m heading to mille lacs then. I’ll let the crowds get smaller and the ice get thicker.
