Is the VS820 still one of the best or is there something bigger and better out there??

Sort of depends where and how it’s used, I ‘spose.

There’s the 825 in the color version…but for black and white…the 820 is pretty dog gone nice!

I have the VS820 this season and love it. Last year I used the VS825C and found that the color camera needs more light than the B&W in order to produce a quality picture. Also, I fish in golden stained water and the color camera, while working perfectly, does produce a golden stained contrast on the screen because the water is stained. That’s not the camera’s fault, just the water quality. So, the color camera doesn’t benefit me much.

And, I enjoy the daylight viewable screen when scouting around. I enjoy using the VS820 and do think it’s the top dog of cameras right now.

Interesting, I wouldn’t have anticipated that.
