I am going up to leech lake on thursday in search of some eyes. I have never caught a walleye through the ice. I have a poll with 4 lb. fire line. Is that enough? i will most likely be fishing walker bay humps. Has anyone been up there this year? Any tips? I was thinking a perch jigging spoon or something alone those lines would be good.

Shoot me a PM if you dont wanna post anything. Im not asking for anyones secret spots or anything i just wanna catch some fish. All pics will be posted on this web site.

    Thanks in advance, Domenick

I have not fished this lake personally but my 2nd cousin is a pro eye fisherman and we went up there during the summer and he caught walleye and big i mean big sunnies. He has a cabin in the shingobee bay and that is were they caught fish. also just on the other side of hwy 371 he caught walleye and sunnies. Hope this helps

Fish have been going good on Leech. It is getting around that has been the problem. If you don’t have a snomobile, it is a bear to get anywhere.
Fish humps not fished yet in Walker and you should do good.
