MERICK STATE PARK

HOW IS THE FISHING HERE ALWAYS HEARD ABOUT IT AND WANT TO TRY IT. SEEN A BUNCH OF PEOPLE FISHING ON THE SOUTH END OF THE PARK.

The fishing isn’t bad, but paying $7 per vehicle to fish for the day sucks. If you have a State Park sticker it wouldn’t be too bad.

Hi. The last time I was in the Park was two weeks ago. If you have the park sticker it helps if you buy one you can get the second one at 1/2 price. But when I was in there their were a lot of fish down there but very spooky my guess for that would be because I counted 25 vechiles and about 40 people.

many small fish in the community hole there today on the camera, lots of bass swimming around also, had the place to my self until i left by noon. I never wet a line as i was drilling holes and watching fish swim around today looking for crappies didnt see any all i can say is i might need to get the power auger out soon… never drilled so many holes, kept telling myself this is the last hole im drilling by hand then i go and drill another looking for them specks

RCR, This is your old buddy. Mike Red says git R done bass fishing. Maybe i can make it up by you on the 24th to fish your secret spots and find some of those slabbers. I’m heading up north to find some of those myself. I will give a report when i get back.
