This is not a which is better topic, but rather need help with a discussion I was having. And when I said “older” I just mean non-current models, including 2007. The question is, how thick is the canvas on each? I know the new Otters and FT “X” series both boast 900 denier nylon, but how about the older Green and Purple Otters and the Fish Trap series? Are they both 600 denier or are the older Otters still 900? Just trying to help a friend. Thanks
The older Otters have much better material when compared to the old Fish Trap blue. The newer models are a little more similar. If you are considering one or the other I get the Otter for sure. You are getting a much better tub also and the older Otters will due MUCH better in the wind.
The previous Otter Pro Series design (green/purple)…the fishhouse skin was not the denier fabric, it was more like a canvas-fabric skin. Heavier material than the current Denier 900 in the new Ice Series models.
