The Chetek area is large with many lakes, you need to focus on one lake first, say Pokegema, Island, or Prarie. The fishing is overrated IMO, lots of fish but size is not impressive on the pannies. While there is some ok walleye fishing up there, there are much better walleye fisheries than around Chetek. Red Cedar, Upper Long, just to name a couple.
I have had a shack on the north end of Prarie and catch a ton of gills and crappies, but size is not this lakes strength. That being said, this is a tremendous fishery in terms of numbers of fish. Be prepared to do lots of sorting.
There are many access points, been driving on the lake for weeks now, 4WD is necessary, lots of snow. Just drive off any boat landing, look for shacks if you don’t know where the fish are.
Good Luck
