    Was thinking of hitting the ice with my father in law this weekend. Just wandering how the bite is going at Blackhawk or DeSoto Bay. thanks in advance for any info.

    the bay is loaded up with gizzard shad right now. The bite is tough. the ole crappie hole is proving name worthy but it’s a real hit or miss deal. If you are after some action I’d stay away from the bay.

    I went up to the Indian today…

    LOTS AND LOTS of people and plenty of ice…

    and A lot of small gills,,,under 8″..some nice crappies….not many though..
