While day dreaming about the big one that got away, I managed to rip the canvas on my fish trap while pulling it into shore. Has anyone tried the clear canvas repair kit at Fleetfarm? It looks like clear tape, that you afix to the torn area. Just looking for some short term bandage as I will take it in this summer and have it professionally repaired.

I use those iron on patches for both fixing tears and reinforcing corners and high wear areas.

Thanks, that sounds much better than using some type of tape.

I used a product called TearMend when the mice used my otter for a hotel last fall. Worked pretty well.

You can get them in colors to match. Available in most sewing sections of Target, Wallmart, or craft stores.
