As a follow-up to my post the other day…

My LX-3TC has worked great for 3 seasons, as has the battery. The other day, it faded out on me out of nowhere. The DCS charger said 30%/20% when I turned it back on. Each time I turned it on, it would “beep”, start spinning, and last 1-2 seconds before fading away. It kept spinning, but the red line TDC (Top Dead Center / 0 point) faded away.

I figured the battery was shot, so I bought a new 9A battery. Put the new one on tonight (with the DCS charger in parallel)… same thing. The DCS did read 100%, but the light faded away 1-2 seconds after it started spinning.

My guess is the old battery was still good, and something happened internal to the unit… Has anyone experienced this before?

My plan was to take 11 days off to fish, but without my flasher, I’m not 100% confident…

EDIT: Looking at it this morning, it seems like the inner wheel is not spinning at full speed. The buttons on the face light up as they should.

… Both batteries are reading 12V on the multimeter.

I would reclean all the hookups from the battery terminals to the unit. you may have a corroded line.

If you have no luck at all then call Nature Vision and they will have you send it in and test it….They gave me a brand new head see my report.
