I saw the Canvas Craft All Terrain fish house at the Ice Show and was wondering what any of you thought about it. It’s the NorpacR2 Canvas Craft shelter that’s mounted on an all aluminum trailer.

There’s no doubt an insulated shelter from Canvas Craft is the way to go. And, I could haul my ATV for ice fishing, too. Plus, I could remove the shelter any time and use the trailer all year for hauling other things. I just want to hear some thoughts from you before I decide.

    Dave,

I couldn’t find them on their site. They must be new.

What was the price tag on it? Do you have a link so we
    can see it?

    Thanks!

No link. It’s not on the website yet. It was a brand new concept and they just finished building it that week. The show price was $2995

Canvas Craft said they’re working to add it to its website. They did send me a couple of pictures, however. I lost the brochure and wil stop to pick another up this week. Here’s what it looks like.

    Thanks for the pic. Dave.

Looks like it could be a bit of a hassle wrapping it all
up at the end of the day. I sure wouldn’t want to leave
the tent exposed to all the road salt and grime.
Do you know what it takes to knock it down and if the tent
stays on when trailering? Or is it tarped?

    Thanks!

    Dan,
I don’t think that’ll be any more work than a regular flip-over on a sled.

Once the shelter folds up across the front, a “boot”, like what you would see on a pontoon or boat canopy, can be zipped around it to protect the shelter when folded up. Quite a neat idea. That’s why I’m considering one. I guess Canvas Craft already has orders just from its 1st appearance at the show. I think I’ll stop in to check it out some more.
