    Anybody have a VX1?I see they are on sale for $199.Would this be a good unit?I really don’t want to spend over $500.for top of the line LX5.

    I bought one last year and am pleased with it. It’s a bare bones with no frills, but gets the job done. I’d definately buy another expecially at that price if I were in the market.

    Great product, and a great price!! I have helped a few family members get into that unit, and they are very happy with it!

    Thanks guys.One more Question,would this be a better unit than say a used FL8 Vexilar?Oh and also the VX1 is the 600 watt version.

    Yes I also own a VX-1 and a LX-3 TC
    It’s more compareable to the FL-20 an FL-8 would be a down grade compared to the VX-1, even the 600 watts model.
    The VX-1 has better target seperation then either of those Vexilars, it has more power and a better IR system.

    Don’t forget the VX-1 also has split screen zoom. Lot of performance for the price.

    I know last week Gander had them marked at that price the one in Woodbury anyway…

    Gander has THE OLD 600 Watt on sale for $199. HOwever this is a CLEARANCE PRICE. once they are gone they are gone. HOwever for $299 you can pick up the new 1000 Watt VX-1 just about anywhere.

    I just went out and bought the VX-1 at ACE Hardware in Lacrosse.They still have some left.Thanks for all the feed back guys.I bought with confidence.

    I think you will get a 50/50 answer on this one… However Look at it this way IF you want a soft pack… the difference is only going to be about $70 since the 1000 Watt comes with a soft pack.
