Ice fishing on the river with sonar

Just got a new showdown, wondering if anyone has suggestions about the use with river currents. Never used sonar on the river before. Thanks for any help.

Last year on the river I punched two holes, one upstream that I fished out of and one a few feet downstream that I used for my vexilar. That seemed to work pretty well.

What he said. You may have to experiment a bit on the distance between the holes depending on the depth and current. Last year at Dresbach it changed several times. I’ve seen that Showdown advertised. Let us know how that thing works for you. Good luck fishing.
